| Hello! Soccer Player here. Regular Member Gender: Male Orientation: Gay Out Status: Out to everyone Location: Indianapolis, IN Posts: 4 Join Date: Jan 2012 |  My Nerdy Introduction. Hello. So my name is Erik, I'm 22, and I just recently graduated from college. I love sports, design, and friends. I came out when I was 18 and am still having a hard time accepting it, being okay with it, and embracing it. I played soccer from age 3 all the way through my sophomore year of college. I think being on sports teams hasn't helped my problems with the way I view myself. I am a very driven person with perfectionist tendencies and I haven't been able to this of being gay in any other way than being a flaw, which is why I am having such a hard time embracing it. Because I just graduated from school, I have told myself to focus less on my academic, career-oriented side, and to start evolving my personal life. This profile is a step in that direction. I am looking to meet people, gain good advice, and hopefully make some good friends and contacts so we can help each other out. Thanks!  |
