I'm Ashley and I am just coming out. After a lot of soul searching and hook ups with men, I can now with out a doubt say I am gay. Unfortunately I have yet to approach another lesbian or even talk to one about how I am feeling. I carry a lot of shame with me, even though my friends and family are amazing I still worry about the judgement I will face. Everyone I have told so far has been very supportive but I am still very concerned with peoples reactions. I'm 18 and I am majoring in Biology and the University of Victoria. If anyone hasn't been to Victoria, Canada I would highly recommend going because it is gorgeous here. I would love advice or some mentoring through this process. My hope is that with this platform I can meet other gays and learn more about the community. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. -Ashley |

Hey Ashley! I am from the Seattle area and have been to Victoria and yes, it is sooo beautiful there. I want to go back there again this summer. I know how hard it is to take that step to "come out" because i have yet to do it as well. I am hoping that when I come back to Victoria this summer, I come as Alexis rather than my typical guy life. Maybe I'll see you around some time up there. |
