Hey everyone, My name is Sammie and I am 20 years old. I am a junior in college. I joined EC today after finally coming out to myself as a lesbian. I am okay with being gay and love gay culture - i have just realized this is who i am...so why hide it anymore? First, it feels amazing to be on here and just say "i'm a lesbian" because i have never said it before! I have spent so long dating boys and trying to like boys that most of my friends would never guess I am anything but straight. I am so scared to come out, have no idea how and am just so afraid my world will change when i do. My friends should be fine, my family I dont know about. I know i need to express pride to help other LGBTs in our community and potentially find a girlfriend and lead an honest and open life. I a sick of living a lie! If anyone can provide any advice at all, id be forever grateful! Look forward to speaking with you, Sammie |

I know this advice isn't great, but for now just take life as it comes and stop trying to date guys, I think if you've just come to the conclusion yourself you need to be comfortable with it before you begin the process When you do start to come out tell those that you know will be fine with it first. In the mean time stick round here cause you may find it helps
