    Hello,

I am 33 and finally worked up the courage to come out to my family, sisters first, then mom. My mom is liberal but raised Catholic and I was worried about her dealing with this with someone so close to her. But she was great, tried to shrug it off a bit like no big deal, but then asked me questions and she acknowledged that it was hard for me to do. I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders, she is the only person who I really care about knowing and accepting. :icon_bigg

    Yay, go you!

  4. Go Emily! If your mom is this nonchalant now, imagine how accepting she will be in years to come.

That's great to hear Emily, and well done on finding the courage. Things will seem much less stressful from now on I hope

Yes! Congrats! My mom, liberal and Catholic, has finally accepted me for who I am. Glad yours did right away!
