I had to wait for someone else to get done with the doctor. Then we were alone. The words just kind of tumbled out of my mouth "I'm Gay!" He asked why I thought that. So I told him a dozen little things that all added up to my being gay. He thought this was a recent thing and I told him it's been going on for years. I told the doctor about how Prayers For Bobby had opened my eyes to being gay and not bi'. It was hard to get the words out fast enough. He finally supported me in getting more involved in Pride events. Over all it went pretty well. I'm so happy!!!!(!):icon_bigg
That's great! It gets easier the more you do it. I'm glad that he was supportive and that it was a positive experience for you.
Bgg: I'm glad it went well. The fact that the therapist was affirming was both a key part of the session and surely a burden that's been lifted in the therapeutic relationship.
Congrats, Bi!! I do encourage you to attend some Pride events now. I'm sure there are some in Ohio (June is Gay Pride month). I hope you are celebrating your big day and are very proud of yourself! We all are.
I have to talk to the activities director about going next June. I've been before but that was as a bisexual. Still finding my gay voice. Thank you everyone for your support!(&&&)
