Before I leave EC I Just wanted to say thank you to all who took time to comment and who gave me advice. It was greatly appreciated.
Just not sure I feel like I fit in really well and I find that this site consumes so much of my time.
A couple thoughts for you: First, your story sounds very similar to so many here, it's unclear to me how you don't fit in. But you know your story best. But second, consider that it is not the site consuming your time...it is that you consume so much of your time here. Why is that? It can only be that you have strong needs to process these issues at this time. True, you can do that with or without the help of the site...but it's a heck of a lot easier with, no? So my interpretation would be to say that being on the site is actually *saving* you processing time. My suggestion would be to treat this as necessary therapy time (not a replacement for actual therapy, but as therapy homework), and embrace the time spent here as time well spent (of course, not if you're spending all your time in the arcade or on game threads...but I don't get the sense that this is what you're up to *smile*). Whatever you decide, best of luck to you.
