Unfortunately, EC is not for meetups/hangouts. You cannot exchange contact information until you are a full member, and even then, caution is urged. However, you always can talk to others on here who I'm sure will be able to relate to you and vice versa. You also could look into local LGBT meetups, which should be very friendly and accepting, I hope.
