in just a few minutes, so excited, stressed, LOL it's about an hours drive and starts at 2 but i want to get in a little early so i can find some where to park.
Lucky! I would like to go this year to pride in Vancouver but I have no one to really go with plus if it gets aired on TV my paranoia will kick in thinking someone I know will see me
Have fun, take pictures, people watch, talk to people you are attracted to, and don't worry about who is watching you; you will be among friends. Maybe even buy a tie-dyed T-shirt for yourself to wear when you are in a particularly gay-feeling mood.
Much of it is outdoors and at beaches and such. Can't you just say you're going for a bike ride or walking a dog? If you have an Apple device, get their app "Passport" and check out the calendar of events. If you do get filmed for tv and happen to make it into the 30 seconds that gets aired and your family happens to see it, buy a lottery ticket! Just kidding. But in the unlikelihood that the stars align and these all happen, it will be easy enough to say, "Oh, yeah. I passed that on my bike ride. It was cool.". Or something similarly blasé.
well, I'm back. it was.........FANTASTIC. there were tonnes of people there and i spoke with some, people watched, Yumm. defiantly some free spirits there but just folks walking about being open about who they loved it was great. i even got hit on by one guy:eek: shocked the heck out of me when i realized:lol: the poor guy was almost as young as my son so i tried to let him down gently telling him that i wasn't ready for that, he was a bit clumsy in his approach, nice kid though. i even got the once over by a couple of ladies. and at one table i got a big hug from one really hot guy when i went to leave. what a cutie. i only took a couple of pictures i was too busy trying to take every thing in. ok so i just checked the camera and nothing came out:tantrum::***::eusa_doh: oh well there's always next year. well it was all worth it, even the sunburn i got on the top of my head:lol:
I'm really happy to hear that you had a great time!! (!). Especially glad to hear about the hug from the hot guy .
Congrats on going, and glad you had fun! Have been to multiple pride's myself. Always enjoyed it. Was tempted to go to one yesterday(saturday), but didn't end up doing so Simply wasted too much time that morning.. And the fact its over an hour drive away.. I woulda only been able to spend an hour or so there (maybe 90minutes max). simply not worth it. one of these years I will have to check out that city's pride just to see if its ok.....
