Got the keys to my apartment the other day. Felt like a weird business trip hotel check in or something. Lots of mixed emotions, excitement mixed with sadness and guilt.

Going to try to focus on the good stuff as much as possible.

Certainly focus on the good stuff.
You can stay awake as long as you like, watch whatever movie you like, and maybe invite a cute friend over for tea.

    Cheers

    Thanks everyone.

It's in the downtown grid, walking distance to all sorts of stuff. Hoping it will be a nice place to hang out, plus close to lots of places to be social. Really going to do everything I can to break free of all of the shells I've surrounded myself with.

I've definitely spent a lot of time feeling things like shame and guilt, so why not try a few that feel better?

    Hi CyclingFan

I empathise with the feelings of sadness and guilt but a place of your own will give you the space to grow as an individual and fully develop as a gay guy without feeling guilty about seeing guys whilst living in the same house as your wife.

    Hugs SGG (*hug*)(*hug*)

Congratulations. I can identify with the mixed feelings, but lean into the positive and exciting ones at this time.

So much to do and I don't know where to start. I guess anywhere is ok since it's almost all gotta go.

Well, the move went pretty well. I'm still in need of some furniture, so there wasn't too much massive stuff.

Now the unpacking begins. At least I do have my bed set up already so it's ready when I crash out.

So, did what could with the apartment. Tired, hungry. Walked over to a casual place I've driven into town plenty of times to eat before. Something that is not part of my usual experience...everyone else here is LGBT.

    Interesting.

Well, this week has been nothing but huge unexpected bills and emotional tumult.

My car completely died yesterday in a way that really scared me. Might be another large bill on the immediate horizon.

    Life, eh?
