Suggestions for Gay & Lesbian Bars/Clubs in NYC?

    Going to NYC next weekend, will be with a couple of gay male friends and they want to take me out to a Lesbian or Gay & Lesbian bar/club while I'm there. Unfortunately, all the the places they go are pretty much all male.

    Any suggestions? And please, only places where a woman my age wouldn't look entirely out of place.

    Look at the Timeout New York site and search on "lesbian" or whatever you fancy. There were quite a few results but you'll have to look yourself with regards to areas and dates and whatnot.
    (I haven't been in NYC since I was 9 so...)

    Are you looking for something for men or women? Something more dancey/clubby? Or a small bar? There are so many in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I would just check yelp.
