    Thanks! :eusa_danc

Yes indeed, I hope LGBT folk from all of North America and beyond will be there! They expect a million people to show up. That year will also coincide with Montreal's 375th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Expo '67 (that summer 50 million people came to visit!).

I have admit that this could be something I'd be interested in... Part of it, though, is that I think Montreal could be interesting place to visit. It could be also be interesting to see how much French 101/102 I retain. At the end of 102, my French professor had French visitors, and I was able to conduct a short conversation with them in French. I have a feeling, though, that nearly 25 years later, my French skills are rusty. So rusty that the verbs are probably rusted to the nouns, and the adverbs have huge rust holes.

Although probably not terribly practical--with the size of the event, I have a feeling it would not be easy to find anyplace remotely affordable to stay.

I just realized something...this event takes place in 2017. I think the last thing I had remotely resembling a vacation was in 1987...so if I went this could be my "first vacation in 30 years."
