I just started using this online dating site. I'm already messaging back and forth with someone. I just had a weird feeling. I work in retail and the possibility of him coming in my store when I'm working is not high, but it could happen. I'll probably want to meet him someday, just hope it's not an unplanned first meeting.

Don't worry 99.999% of app and online folks EVAPORATE with the suggestion of meeting or do not show up. They live virtual, imaginary lives and prefer it.

Well, you can not control the uncontrollable! And if you look at the glass as half full, someone seeing you in your work environment might be an opportunity for them to know you better sooner than later!

I told him I'd like to meet. We're scheduling something for next Wed. after work. I guess we'll see what happens.

It feels sometimes like I am a toy that gets played with and then tossed off to one side. Being on a virtual dating site is like that, you get played with and made to drop your defenses and then when the time comes to meet, nothing happens. It must be a game people play with other peoples feelings, just to see how cruel they can be.

I hope that isn't what happens, we agreed on next Wed., but haven't set a time or place yet. Someone else on the site wanted to meet me after only a couple of e-mails. We haven't even discussed any details about ourselves yet. I told him I wasn't ready to meet yet.

I was nervous for a few days before, but it was for no reason. We were very comfortable with each other right away and talked all through dinner. We found we agreed on a lot of things. Going out to lunch tomorrow. So far, so good.

Had another great get together over lunch. We were at the restaurant for almost 2 hours. Kept talking long after we finished our meals. Hope this continues.

That sounds great. Long talks are usually a great place to start a relationship.
