Starring Jane Fonda and Martin sheen two men tell their wives they are gay and are going to marry. Comedy drama, I've seen the first episode and whilst a bit dramatised it's still tackles how wives react and the fallout.

It's only on Netflix worth subscribing too

Hi Richie, thanks for the heads up on this. I think I'll watch it first alone before watching with my wife.

A friend of mine suggested it. I've watched three episodes and I love it! I want the women to fall in love though, being a lesbian and all. :roflmao:

I watched the entire season in the last 3 days. If you are gay and married - you will relate to this entire show - every episode. I laughed, I cried a few times - but what I mostly got out of it is that you can love someone of the same sex - it is ok - it is a reality - even though this is just a TV show - but nonetheless, it is a good show. Jane Fonda is a riot. Lilly Tomlin is so funny...

Sorry, I just can't buy Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen as a gay couple. I've watched only two episodes, but if I go on and they have a sex scene, I'm going to lose it. Christopher Plummer was so much more believable in "Beginners."
That said, I think the actors struggle valiantly against a poor script. This is nothing but another sitcom with a new gimmick. Occasionally there's a good line or two, and issues arise that are familiar to all of us: for example, Lily Tomlin asks Waterston, "Was any of this real?" referring to their entire married life pre-revelation. But further conversation is forestalled by a wisecrack. Would two married men really choose to tell their wives they were gay together, in the middle of a crowded restaurant? Seems unlikely, assuming they had one iota of feeling for the women. The resulting bun fight is predictable.
In sum, I think the writer/creator of this series might know someone who came out to their spouse late in life, but the knowledge is all second hand — he/she has never experienced it, and therefore the plotting/dialogue ring very untrue (to me).
