I went to my first therapy appointment today She was pretty cool even though I WAS very nervous about the whole thing. I guess first thing first is to set up a support network here in Spartanburg. She knows many so that shouldn't be an issue. She also assured me it wasn't all underground like I had previously thought. I was having issues trying to find everyone here in my city. This showed her I was working on it. I also need to make more coming out and use my male name more, which sometimes I forget to do as well. Finding a doctor to discuss HRT within Spartanburg. One concern was my daughter (6), and discussing changes with her. First steps prior to T!!
This is wonderful news. Coming out to people and getting started is the hardest part. I hope everything goes well!
Now for figuring out my parents.... Not sure how to go about that, since my mom is so proud of her daughter. How about T changed and a 6 year old noticing them?
