I usually don't put much weight into tests, but sometimes take them for fun. I kept hearing people in this forum mention the Kinsey Test so I finally took it and got a six, which of coarse makes me now love the test.

Stand inline ladies, there is plenty of me to go around.

    Hi Sue,

    Congrats on scoring a 6

Can you share the link of the test? Because there's no official Kinsey test according to the Kinsey Institute web site (the people who created the Kinsey scale).

This is by no means anything official, it's just for fun...to me at least.

    The test is flawed - I scored a 4. I self-identify as 5 quickly heading towards 6.

This post is just for fun, I wouldn't worry about it.

I typically score anywhere from a 4-5, which is more or less accurate. I would argue I'm probably a 5 heading toward 6, but it's all just semantics and sexuality is not something you can numerically quantify. It's just a way to demonstrate that sexuality is non-binary.

I worry about it because there is no official Kinsey test according to the people who created the Kinsey scale, While what you posted may be fun, it's also a flawed hack of a test that should not be used to identify one's sexuality, except potentially as a secondary or tertiary confirmation metric.

I love what you said here,

I posted it for fun. It is not a medical test given by a professional, it is a test found on the internet posted for fun, I think I made that clear. Regardless, I don't think there is a test on the face of the earth that can measure how gay you are or aren't, only you can answer that. You seem pretty offended though, and if you feel this strongly, go ahead and report me. I really don't think I am doing anything out of line. I am just trying to stimulate dialogue about our sexuality and/or gender in a fun way.

    I scored a 5 at first.. I swear it's rigged as I truly believe I am a 6. Just because I like penetration doesn't mean I'm into penis lmao.

On the test you posted, I scored a 6. I usually identify identify as a 5 1/2

When I still thought I was male I scored a one on the test, but taking the test as a woman I just scored a 4; which is probably accurateish.

The test feels "Kinseyan" (as opposed to "Keynsian") but the scores seem low. I'm at least a 5 and cannot get past 4. I like the Klein test much better.

    I got 3, but I personally think I'm a 4, not far from 5.

I got a 3 which I think is fairly accurate, I enjoy being with both men and women...Who knows if it will change in the future...yay for fluid sexuality!

    Hey Chicagoblue,

The test scores low because it's not a real Kinsey test. In fact, there is no Kinsey test according to the Kinsey Institute the research institute at Indiana University where Dr. Kinsey did his work.

The test was created by a long time netizen and proud citizen of Estonia who has a particular interest in making his own tests and quizzes (paraphrased from the author's web site - see Vistriai's website). In fact the author corroborates what I've said about the Kinsey test.

I'm not sure why we are putting so much credence into this test. It's something that Sue Baloo posted for fun, but this seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle.

I'm glad that someone else said this. This is just for fun, but I also don't think that any of us should let anything (like a test) outside of our own hearts tell us what our sexual identity is. Only we know our own selves, and only our own selves will ever know for sure. We are all older, and surely have learned that we can't be bothered by what other people think, it's only what we think that truly matters. :smilewave

    I get a 5 or 6 on them.
