Another member had mentioned a book in another post(I don't recall who or what post) but I went out to my library and got it today. I am super excited to read it, and the other book I found.

    The books are
Sexual fluidity, understanding women's love and desire by Lisa M. Diamond
    and
Now that you're out of the closet, what about the rest of the house? by Linda Handel.

Has anyone read both or either?

Since I am not out I had a strange feeling when I borrowed the books, like I was 13 years old, buying pads for the first time. Lisa M. Diamond has another book I want to read as well, called Dear John, I love Jane. However, my library does not have this book either in stock or available as an inter-library loan. Has anyone read that one? Should I buy it?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations?

Can you request that your library get a copy? I know around here you can put in a request if your library doesn't have the particular book, that they can order a copy and add it to their collection. They would own it, but you could check it out. Or do they have inter-library loan, where you can check out a book from another library and they'll have it transported to yours? I'd check into those options first.

Unfortunately I have read neither of them, so I'm no help there.

I really liked Dear John, I love Jane. I also read the sexual fluidity book, and enjoyed that as well.

I've read DJILJ, and Sexual Fluidity. Both good.
I ordered mine on amazon and read on my ipad.
I'd love some recommendations on biographies, or fiction with lesbian characters.

I just recently read "The Miseducation of Cameron Post." It is a Young Adult book, but very well-written, and I could relate as I am still like a confused teenager with respect to my sexuality.

Although I wasn't married I read Finally Out, Letting Go Of Living Straight around 3 months ago, It's a book about a psychiatrist who was gay and in a straight marriage, experiences and how things where in the younger days before marriage right though till today, although it would help females I'd say it's more suited to men as a whole but there's a few answers I found.

I've been hitting the "free" Kindle books (where you pay $10 a month and can borrow as many of them as you like) in the LGBT section - there are some good ones in there although a lot of it is just erotica (not that that is bad...)

The great part about YA it's that you can get through them quicker. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yeah we're definitely going through a YA identity crisis. I distinctly remember wanting to be "alone in my room to sort things out" on Monday night...something I haven't felt in oh, say, twenty years at least?

Exactly! My thoughts have been so distracting I almost got into 3 separate accidents. I don't want to Go anywhere, do anything, or even get Out Of bed, I randomly cry at the smallest reminders...

I think the books, especially the 2 I got Will Help.

I just found another book, it's called Late Bloomers: Awakening To Lesbianism After 40 by Robin Mc Coy. I might pick that up this weekend. I like the term "Awakening." That's how I feel about it. So I'll see what I think of this one. I think it's on the Kindle too.

    How true.

I heard a comment recently that one of the badly kept secrets of YA is that actually a very large percent of readers are well over the supposed age target range.

Well, comedian Jack Benny got by just fine being 39 for most of his life.
