So, I came out to the friend I was anxious about - she was totally cool with it. And today I posted on Facebook. It's not a huge deal, since I literally have fewer than 20 friends, but it means something. Text of my post: Some things you may not know about me. My eyes are blue I am right-handed I am bi / pansexual I didn't choose my eye color; it was present when I was born. I didn't choose my right-handedness; it was present when I began using my hands as tools. I didn't choose my sexuality; it was present when I became aware of human attraction. I can choose to wear colored contacts, I can choose to use my left hand with more dominance, I can choose to live a heterosexual life. Any of those choices, though, belie the person I am, the person I was created to be. The true beauty of me lies in the entire truth, not just the comfortable truth.
Congratulations on coming out to your friend and your FB post ride: Beautiful FB post - brought a tear to my eye. Don't sell yourself short - it is a huge deal. Best

Congrats! You put it very well. It's a hard thing to say, no matter the size of your audience, and it takes courage. I'm still trying to figure how, and even if, I could do the same.
