Yesterday I smiled my GAYEST smile at a supercute butch woman in an elevator, and she smiled back big and wide!

She was probably just being polite, while thinking to herself "who is this psycho" but I was SO EXCITED to be able to YES HOMO it for even just a minute that I smiled like an idiot for a long time after.

(She is probably almost 10 years younger than I, but everyone is when you're a late-in-life grad student, it's not my fault! I don't seek them out!)

Tell me about your first gay flirtation below, if you want!

    (!) yay!

When I was in Toronto, a young (much younger than me!) butch woman flirted with me in the bathroom of a bar/resto on queen west.... I actually think she followed me to the bathroom to strike up a conversation :icon_bigg
And it's not a gay bar!:slight_smile:. Our convo lasted all the way up the stairs, but I bailed once she asked if I smoked.

I was ecstatic for the rest of the night.

    So fun, right?(!)

Ps. I'm buying more plaid shirts

Lol, it was my regular smile except directed like a laser beam at a gay person, with gay intent. I want to think it looked like this: :icon_bigg

But it probably looked like this .

    Lol, good for you.

Mine wasn't exactly flirting, it was before I was out, and I already had a girlfriend. But I knew of this lesbian in my school, and I always tried to get near her and talk to another person "of my own kind" other than my girlfriend of course. I used to do weird, creepy stares and smiles.

No gay flirts for me. Would rather not get it wrong and end up in a fist fight.

    Heh!

Ahhhh, yeah that's a shitty part about being a guy. Although to be fair I was pretty sure about this lady. I might not have been so confident if I weren't 200% sure she swung that way.

Yes! I mean, I can't take it further than flirting, but I've decided that I'll let myself do a bit of that. Not to the point of leading people on, of course. I hope I get another chance.

I was looking at some plaid earlier this week haha!

Glad you enjoyed the moment! Haven't done that one yet, but I am noticing to make better eye contact and casual smiles with other women lately. This makes me feel great and giving.

Personally, I prefer rainbow tie-dyes (or shoelaces, for the more subtle effect)...and as a bisexual woman, I can never go wrong with basic purple.

As a gay man, I am a frequent (ab)user of a basic purple. It's great!

I really enjoy a quick little flirtation with a good looking (younger) man. No harm no foul...but fun. Lots of smiling, energy, friendliness. Perhaps a waiter or another nice guy "servicing" me.

Haven't actually had anyone pick up on the "making eyes" thing, but then again, I don't see a lot of people I don't already know in the town I live in, and when I go to the city I'm just getting accustomed to looking at women deliberately and on purpose.

Perhaps the key is forcing them to look away first (and maybe they don't?!?!?)

    ---------- Post added 9th Oct 2015 at 06:56 AM ----------

You know, when I think about the last two times I met a woman with whom I ultimately (and quickly!) got naked, both started with VERY intense eye contact. Now, of course both of them totally used me and didn't want relationships at all. :tears::tears::tears:

    BUT - I got girlsex. (!)

You could pull out the ol' wink-and-a-gun. LOL

    Yes homo, ALL the homo!!

I tried to flirt and it didn't go well, she said she had a bf and wanted me to join. Since I'm not interested in men I told her no and she got nasty. Instant bitch face, and she snapped "well what the fuck are you still doing here then"

Some people get all the charm, amirite?! LOL

Yep. Plaid is a thing, confirmed by my lesbian married friends. I said I was afraid to go to a lesbian event or bar and have ppl think I was a fraud. She said 'no they won't, you're a woman at a lesbian event wearing plaid'
