She sent me a message on another site, said it looked like we had a tremendous amount in common and that we should get together "even if there's no spark." She's a math geek like me so she's probably right! We are going out tomorrow for dinner. I'm just so blown away. I really didn't expect anything like this to materialize in real life. I've just been plodding along making myself visible and reaching out to lots of women on that site and getting zero response. I've often thought, lesbians must learn to be assertive if they grew up with expectations as women of the other party doing the heavy lifting like sending messages or inviting someone out. She's definitely mastered that part! I am really looking forward to this... just to finally get a peek out of my mostly heterosexual world and possibly slam the door behind me once and for all. :icon_bigg I would not be here without all of the support from everyone here... thank you!
