Outside of all the other shit that is my life (should you so be inclined see my previous posts), I finally slept with a woman about a week ago. And I am just so... surprised how not big a deal it was. How normal it felt. How natural it felt. I actually, for the first time in my life, wanted more and not just be happy it's over and done with. So if I had any doubts about my sexuality, well, nope. I'm gay.

Gillian, I felt the same way! I even joked with her she should have told me it was like that sooner! And it was certainly much more intense than I ever had with a man!
I too felt this way-- and isn't it wonderful -- that it is not you- but who you chose to be intimate- Sometimes I cannot get enough of my woman!! Yeah for you
It's so great you finally did it and it was a good experience I remember my first time with a woman - it was just as you described and I felt so relieved, because I finally felt something!And I didn't feel like I don't know what to do (happens regularly with men), and I wanted to do it forever I'm not saying it wouldn't be easier to feel this way with men, at least in my case, but that's not the thing we can choose. So congratulations on your big step!
Thank you all for your kind comments. I still feel really good about it, it won't be a relationship with her - we both knew this before going to bed - but she is a wonderful person (friend of a friend) who I care about. It just feels so amazing to know I am not crazy, that I didn't make all this same sex attraction stuff up, that I am not confused. And I know not everybody needs a sexual experience to confirm their orientation but apparently I am the type that does. My overall situation is still very difficult and I haven't told my husband about this yet (which I am both afraid and relieved to do) so I don't really expect life to be an easy ride from now on either. But at least I KNOW what I am and I feel so calm and peaceful about it. Thank you all for listening and sharing your thoughts, they have meant the world to me both on this thread and also in my earlier ones. You people rock.
