I was walking through the park and I caught this cute woman's eye and did a kind of smile, look away, smile thing.

This was just in a random public space and I didn't even think twice, it just happened naturally. I think she was flirting back. My heart did a little jump, it was....awesome.

    That is awesome!

    I love when that happens

I think I quite often used to eye girls up without even realising I was doing it

How did your coffee go? (Or has that not happened yet?)

Sounds like you are making a progress in any case...

    :icon_bigg I don't think I ever before purposely confidently non-awkwardly flirted with a woman.

I'm on the way to the coffee now :icon_bigg

Thanks! The coffee was great, it was very chill. I was nervous about bringing up my background with her, but knowing I have a daughter, she asked all the right questions so that I was easily able to fill in the blanks and tell my story. She said I was "brave" for coming out now and she made me feel very comfortable about everything. I think we'll meet up again soon.

Thanks . It's been a great few days. I feel like things are starting to make so much more sense.

I think that I'm finally ready to fight for my happiness. I told my husband this the other day, and talked a bit about what that means. It seems like that has opened things up for me, I'm starting to feel more confident, and more like I can be myself. It's refreshing.

 Have you tried meeting anyone yet? At a bar or a website. I found that when i was first really coming out that just talking to people i met online helped. I kinda tended to dump the whole story on them at once. I don't recommend that lol but it's nice having people to talk to. Met my first girlfriend that way and made a bunch of new friends. It's scary how many people are in the same situation.

I have been meeting people. I plan on meeting some women online as well, and going to bars here and there (when my mommy duties allow), but for now it's through meetups. I think I want to plan a bar night... but going alone makes me nerrrrrvous.
