When I first heard of someone wanting to graduate from EC, I was aghast in disbelief. How could anybody want to graduate from and leave this amazing and supportive community?

I now understand. I find myself in a place where my real-life support group is praising me for my level of acceptance as a gay man. A lot of this has to do with EC, both as a recipient and provider of advice. EC has definitely achieved its mission insofar as I'm out and proud :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:ride:

I find myself at a point where my growth as a gay man requires real-life experience, so I’m going to continue to focus on that for the next several months. I’m not leaving the EC community, and I will definitely continue to post. Right now, though, I need to focus on me.

You can always PM me if you need my thoughts and input.

    Best,
    SF

Good luck out there! I will miss your valiant attempts to smack me out of my stubbornness and denial

SF you asked me the most important question anyone had asked me since I accepted my sexual orientation several decades ago. It pissed me off! But, it was necessary, for me, to get some straight (aw shit) talk. Thanks.

    Hey SF,

Congratulations on being ready for this move. I'm glad to hear you're not *really* leaving...just reprioritizing...that makes sense.

Best wishes, and know that you'll be accepted here each time you come back!

    Hugs,

I think you're a tremendous voice on this forum and your insight has been so appreciated. You've made us answer tough questions about ourselves and given us a shove where needed. (I'm still one of the stubborn ones.)

I'm so glad you found happiness in that cave you explored. I hope I soon will have the same confidence as you.

    SiennaFire,

I'm so happy for you for getting to this point, and I know you're just going to keep moving forward.:eusa_clap

I'll miss your posts, your insight and your wit. You helped me many many times, in insurmountable ways, so it's hard to find the right words to thank you enough for that. But in addition, you gave me a kick-ass siggy, and introduced me to the Star Wars emoji....I mean what more can an EC friend ask for?

Best wishes, I'm happy for you and for where you are on your journey (*hug*)(*hug*)

SF, I've been on here a week and a half or so and, during that very short time, I've come to appreciate your posts, humor and ability to cut to the chase. Thanks for your contributions and I'm glad you're going completely radio-silent on us. :icon_wink

Now, go out there and kick some ass! (*hug*)

You will be thoroughly, thoroughly missed, my poetic friend  But I'm beyond happy for the stage you've reached in your life.

To paraphrase the beautiful finale from "Up" - Now go on and write the next chapter of your Adventure Book

    Hey Sienna,

You've done a great service here with your responses, and yes, it is time, as it was for me, to "graduate" to making gay life a priority. I am in a loving and wonderful relationship with a guy and it is truly where I need to be now.

Best of luck in your new chapter!

My response. This is good news and it inspires me. I've felt for some time now that I need to "get real life" experiences. I'd just love to hold someones hand for instance. So I have been concentrating on non ECs activities.

My goal is to capture "lessons learned" in the form of ECs blogs. And from time to time help others along via ECs.

    Really good news. Wow.

SiennaFire, you have been there for me and countless others since the very beginning. I still re-read some of the posts you wrote to me the first week I joined EC.

Very glad that everything is going well for you, and I wish you the best!

Good for you- I have always enjoyed your insightful posts as they help many more than just the author of the thread. Glad you will still be around responding when you can. Have a great weekend -
