Well, had an interesting situation happen today. Wife has been so worried about being alone after we split. She decided to post on a dating site to see what would happen. She received 16 likes within 4 hours. Her confidence has soared through the roof. She spent a couple hours actually chatting with someone. She is very careful, she won't do anything stupid with it. She actually told this guy she was chatting with that I was in the room as she was chatting. She told him that she didn't have to worry about hiding because I had given her an ok to do it and because we were splitting that I wanted her to be happy. She told him I was a great guy. Anyway, my son is in a band concert tonight and called her to see if she'd come pick up his backpack so he wouldn't have to carry it with him. She was waiting for one of her friends (not a friend from dating site) to pick her up and was going to run by, but her friend got delayed. She asked me if I'd go get the backpack. I'm wearing lime green shorts and put on a lime green shirt to go with it. I asked her if it looked ok. She told me it would pass. I said, that I definitely didn't get the gay dress gene. She laughed and said, no you sure didn't. Before today, I would not have been able to say anything like that without her getting upset by it.
Yay, I'm so glad things are progressing well! I know it's early days and your wife is still processing, but hopefully she's starting to see that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
This is AWESOME news! It's great that she's feeling there are options now. I'd expect there may still be bumps in the roaad here or there, but this is an awesome development. Now... you just might have to pay for some therapy for your son who was subjected to you showing up in lime green shorts and matching shirt.
I've received a few comments on my lime green shorts and shirt combination. I'm going to put them back on this evening and take a picture to post on my EC wall. All you gay fashionistas in here, get ready to poke your eyes out if you view my wall. :lol:
