I love Aerosmith (since high school years).
"Dream on" song was a slow dance at one of the homecoming parties. Love the melody but never paid attention to the words.
Have not heard this song since slow dance with my first love.

Recently heard it again, few times and decided to look up the lyrics. Every word is so much truth that is so raw and so current.
Look them up if you don't recall the words.

Read some place life goes through cycles, spirals repeating what's happening. Feel like its a first all over again.

Seen posts on song lyrics before. Any that strike your cord?

"Easy Like Sunday Morning" by Commodores. Listened to it constantly the months before I was leaving home for college. 1977. The words fit me profoundly.

There are so many songs that are my old favourites that I've been listening to with a new ear. A couple that come to mind - Nico's These Days really struck a chord with me when I was feeling a lot of regret about coming out so late, and Rufus Wainwright's Beautiful Child which reminds me of the feeling of freedom after coming out.

When I started therapy and really started to question everything about my life, I would crank up the volume and sing along to What's Up by 4 Non Blondes on a daily basis if not multiple times a day. The only lyric I had to tweak was to say 35 years old instead of 25
