I just had a two hour convo over the phone with my dear ol' dad (He lives in Maui). I came out to him last year. And ever since I did we have been closer than ever. He was the last person I thought that would support my queerness. Turns out he is my biggest supporter and cheerleader in life and all things lgbtq+ related! We have such a tight bond now! (I've only been talking to him again for two or so years.) I am SO glad I have such a great relationship with him. It makes Fathers Day a fabulously happy day for the both of us. And that.... that is a great feeling for a change. HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the great dads out there! (*hug*)
