I find the entire process so uninteresting it is almost mind numbing. I am trying to figue out what is such a big deal about this event. Oh well it takes all kinds and the rainbow smoke would be fabulous. Hugs dear

A kindly old man in a fab dress and red flats...

Add lipstick and his ensemble is complete.

Being raised Catholic and the irrelevancy of the dogma being revealed allows me to say that.

"Mind numbing" is high praise. Kay you are too sweet!

Like Kay, I have little or no interest. And that has been the case since ever since the last Pope announced his resignation. I guess I'll be mildly interested when I learn who gets selected, but that will be all.

Part of my lack of interest comes down to the fact that I've seen this before when the last Pope was elected. The process was more interesting then, simply because it was new to my experience.

Although a lot of my disinterest comes from my feeling that whoever gets elected will probably be much the same. He may have a different style, and do some things differently. But I do not expect fundamental change from the Catholic Church on a long list of issues.

No, my only interest is its ignorant pomposity. How empty are people if this spectacle interests them to this degree?

I think there are places you can place a bet if you want. How silly is that?

It appears that I was right. Things change, but they really don't change, as the "Views" section on the Wikipedia page about the new Pope shows.

    Why am I totally unsurprised?

I hear this new pope goes to AIDS hospitals and washes feet.

Too bad they cannot open hearts.
