Greetings folks, In my earlier thread, I had talked about how this past Tuesday’s date has been followed up by some wild texting between him (my Venezuelan-born friend) and I, that started on Thursday morning. Today, Friday, it didn’t let up by much! He had to leave for the weekend, so after all that, all I had to hold onto were his texts from today. Reading them again, I really thought there was some great stuff in there that I would like to share with you. The several references to apple blossoms are related to an apple tree just outside my office window which was in full bloom starting earlier this week, but today, already, the petals are starting to fall to the ground… Me: I’m glad that you do…think that there’s something between us…other than distance Him: And apple blossoms Me: The fallen petals are covering the ground like snow… Him: That reminds me of Japan Me: You lucky guy, I so want to visit there! Me: Henceforth, apple blossoms will remind me of you… (Later) Me: I have a teleconference at 11… Him: I have a meeting also at 11...until 2 pm so far (a little Later…) Him: Still in my meeting Me: I’m sitting outside eating an apple, and I was practicing saying your nickname out loud (quietly to myself), when your text popped up just now…excellent hearing! [I work about 20 km away from him] Him: I cleaned my ears this morning ;-) (Later) Him: Perfect! I just talked to my boss and told her I am doing my 2-weeks’ notice. Too late! [we had jokingly talked about his coming to work for me] I have already quit my job. You and the company you work for will have to bear with me for the rest of your life Me: Wha...wait, are you pulling my leg again??? [he pranked me yesterday by telling me he had to marry me or he would be deported in three months] Me: You are so wonderfully evil… (Some time passes, more than normal between our crazy texting) Me: Ok now I’m starting to believe you… Me: Much against my better judgment! (More waiting…) Him: No, I didn’t quit my job LOL Me: I hate you Me: Just plain evil, through and through… Me: You probably have tears in your eyes from laughing so hard… Him: Thank you, I hate you too, LOL Me: Goes without saying, oh evil lord of the underworld Me: I hate you so much I could love you! Him: I am not evil, just playful Me: …and I love that about you! Me: I’ll get you anyway…us older guys have a few tricks up our sleeve (evil laugh) Him: Yes, tricks with dentures and crutches! Me: I’m giving you an evil look all the way from Laval [where I work] Him: Oh! Help! Please someone call the police! There is this guy sending me an evil look!!! LOL Me: I’m using my super bifocals… (Much more texting later) Me: You’re that one special apple blossom to me… Him: But the blossoms fall down too quickly Me: The one that stays is the one that’s special Him: That’s very true Me: You probably realize that I’m falling for you… In response to this last text, he told me that we need to know each other better if we want to engage in anything more serious. He said he was tired of “trying” and he wants his next relationship to be the last, with a guy he can make love to “like bunnies morning and evening.” Someone he could care about and love deeply. I agreed that we needed to know each other more, of course, and simply invited him to join me in getting to know each other better, but I also told him that I have never been more ready to love someone more deeply. He agreed and said “we have nothing to lose”. In response I told him that we could end up with a broken heart, but that, for my part, I didn’t care. He suddenly had to leave; he’s gone out of town (from previous plans) for the weekend…
I never would have guessed you such a romantic. You wear it handsomely. BE patient with yourself as you are still settling with the STBX fire storm. You don't want that polluting your future. Take all the time you and your new boyfriend need. You are a beautiful guy and you deserve happiness.
Thank you, Skiff I'm caught between not rushing things (especially now) and losing the opportunity to get to know a wonderful guy (with whom I've never felt more at ease)...for now, as always, I will play it as it unfolds. But I am happy! (*hug*)
