Happy to say that I just joined a psychotherapy group of gay men, all close to my age, with a gay therapist. I had my first session with them tonight. It went well; everyone was welcoming, friendly, open. The therapist is formerly married (to a woman) and has kids and grandkids. One group member is also older and was married to a woman and has thirty year old twins. So I'm happy to say I found a place I fit in, which is like the first time in forever. From this group I hope to branch out and actually have some gay friends. And, 5 of the 8 guys there had multicolored striped socks; sometimes you need a flash of color... ride:ride:ride::newcolor::newcolor::newcolor:
Congrats! It sounds like a good safe environment, with real people! There isn't anything like that in our little town. Keep me updated on your group!
