Default My new position/article in hometown newspaper

Hi everyone,

I'm so happy this website is still thriving. You really have no idea how many lives you have saved by being here and supporting everyone. I'm so proud of you all!

I have been really busy but I wanted to share an article about my new position in Oregon. Enjoy.

The pursuit of acceptance - Central Oregonian - Prineville, Oregon

Becky

That article's about you? Neat!

What you said about the possibility of discriminationagainst your son is, I feel, very important. As hard as it may be for some parents to accept their child's orientation, I think this article may remind them of what their children may face, and may encourage acceptance. I get the feeling that this article may help a lot of people.

Well done!

I don't understand a person can give birth to a child, feed it, raise it. then once you know he's/she's GLBT you act like he/she's a horrible person and not your child

My son was discriminated against. I was the first personal testimony before the Oregon Senate Judiciary Committee to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the anti-discrimination laws. We won!

I really do not understand that either. Homophobia is alive and well. We have to educate people about lgbt issues.
