Also despite the article saying he hasn't decided, he has, I saw it on the news tonight, Eddie Murphy has pulled out of hosting the Oscars because Brett is gone... Brett and Eddie quit the Oscars over this.... Opinions? I think he issued a statement that included an apology, but i don't think he really meant it or understood why it was hurtful.

Unless I've misread the article, he doesn't seem to have any involvement in the crisis, so I'm slightly mystified unless he has a personal issue with Mr. Ratner using an "anti-gay" slur, which would also be plausible. Oh well. LET THE MUPPETS LOOSE ON THE OSCARS!

Media overhype to the max. Everyone already knew that Brett Ratner was a douchebag to begin with, so I don't know why they thought it'd be a good idea to even offer him the job of producing this year's awards show.
