Michele Bachmann quits presidential race following poor showing in Iowa | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

Part of me is ecstatic, until the other part realizes she never had a shot anyway.

Opinions?

Well, to be honest, I'll miss the entertainment value of her out-in-left-field and utterly fictional statements

As long as she doesn't devote her spare time to fucking up misguided LGBT people who visit her 'clinics'.

According to NPR, plenty of the remaining candidates are now praising her to the heavens in hopes of getting her endorsement: GOP Candidates Laud Bachmann, Who Departs Without Endorsing A Former Rival : It's All Politics : NPR

I had a feeling Bachmann wouldn't continue much longer after pouring so much in Iowa and finishing last. Slowly we'll be seeing more and more of them dropping out until I think it will be between Romney and Gingrich for the nomination.

And that, ladies & gentlemen, is how the herd is thinned. The only downside, LGBT people cant walk up to her at campaign events & tell her she's full of BS...

Normally, I would agree that generalizations are bad, but when it comes to politicians, NONE of them are to be trusted & ALL of them are dumbass idiots to a certain extent, even the likeable ones. Let's face it, they all basically have careers that require them to do as little as possible to not piss off voters so they can get elected or reelected & they basically go with what's popular most times, not always with what's right. Obviously there are exceptions, in whatever party people support, but even the ones who are awesome & charismatic & good people can still pull some pretty boneheaded things that screw everyone. Im not American, so I dont support one or the other parties, I will admit I like Obama, but at the same time, Im sure Obama has probably pulled some real boners too. It's just the nature of politicians in general. Theyre all idiots at some point or another, regardless of party, it's just a matter of degrees of idiocy. Why else do you think there are checks & balances & the founding fathers didnt want the people to trust the politicans? Because they were acutely aware that politicians are idiots - all of them! lol!

Good point, and also it's one less that we have to worry about.

I would actually agree with a good portion of this. It should also be noted that our Founders never envisioned a full time legislature like we have now...and people building careers out of like we have now. Back in the good old days legislators had...you know...some sort of job. They would meet in session and go home to work and live under the laws they passed.

But, we're stuck with a full time legislature now I'm afraid...they love to live it up in Washington. But I can't say I don't blame them...I mean, if you were stuck in--say, Oklahoma-- wouldn't you want to get out of the midwest too?

Yes but let's not forget the problem with politicians spawns from the general public who elect them. There won't be as many people who would vote for the risk taker, they want the safe choice, and sadly that's what happens with the Republican candidates. They don't take risks and don't do anything except have this very structured to get elected and reelected -_-

Don't even worry about it, her district is right outside the Twin Cities, which are full of LGBT people and supporters. I'm sure she'll get her share of glitter. >:]
