I found this rather interesting. I've never heard the word homophilia before

It's not the most correct usage of the word, but it is often used like that. If homosexuality is like adultery, then it's bad for a lot of USA's populace. To divorce and remarry is considered adultery in, "God's," eyes, and the divorce rate is really high here.

its fairly well established the more homophobic you are, the more likely you are to be gay.
