Default No homosexuality in Pakistan, and other lies

This article discusses that psychologists at a university in Pakistan deny that gay people exist in Pakistan.

It's true. They have an anti-gay force field around the country that prevents us from approaching. :|

Hmmm...had to access a text-only cached version of this page. In fact, I can't even connect to the newspaper's homepage. Bizarre.

Anyways, that man is not even worthy of being called a mental health professional. No one who ignores the mass of scientific research into homosexuality because they disagree with the findings deserves that title.

Sadly, the link will not work for me... but judging by the title it sounds totally ridiculous.

I can understand an illiterate Pakistani or one that goes to an madrassas for their education, not ones that are university educated. However it just shows that people even with an university degree, can have such narrow minded views. It just derives from cultural and religious views there.

I have known a few people from that part of the world who are educated. Ahmed went to a school in Germany because its no secret that you do not get much of an education if you go to a school pakistan for your higher education. As for the other one, (I cant remeber thier name, mainly because it was one I couldnt pronounce) is at oxford, for basically the same reason.

The schools in pakistan are closely tied to the whims of religious and goverment authorities. Kind of in a way that fundiementalist christians in america are trying to influence and force the teaching of certain subjects, and banning of others. Basically, free thought is only allowed if it is sanctioned thought.

Simply absurd. Oh well, they'll learn soon enough that there really are gay men and women are just about everywhere.

remeber, there are still people in america who think satan put fossils in the ground to confuse us, and that the earth is only 6 and a half thousand years old.

and there are people who think that Rebecca Black knows how to sing.

Dont get your hopes up. Delusion is hard to shake off.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of psychologists in Pakistan didn't actually believe that but just feel unable to say it.
