Total BS. These people need to stop and read what they are writing. How could they know exactly who shoppes at JC Penney. Seriously, let the marketers do their jobs, and stop attempting to censor everything.

JC Penny eventually came out with a statement affirming its decision to hire Ellen as its spokesperson. Apparently, they're now not even taking calls from One Milliion Moms anymore.

That logic doesnt track at all. Ellen has her own talk show, & Im pretty ure it isnt just LGBT people who watch it. So if tons of straight people watch Ellen on TV, Im pretty sure theyll keep shopping at JC Penny. Why? Because its obvious they watch Ellen because she's a celebrity & entertaining, not because shes gay, which is probably the same reason JC Penny hired her to advertise them.

Plus there's that other thing where people tend to get a bit less picky about who does waht with who in a lousy economy & shop wherever is best & affordable for them rather than put their principles first. The problem with a lot of groups like One Million Moms is that they grossly underestimate the intellgence of the population, just like politicians do. Every one treats voters like they are silly, ignorant children in an election year, & this is just a continuation of that...

Sure some small minded people will read the afa alert about this and avoid Penny's for a while, but they're insignificant and they'll soon forget when the next alert comes in their email.
