So here I am, in college....my first year. Its been a great time. Today however I was just sitting on my computer thinking to myself, "I haven't been on EC for a while." So, I scrambled to try and remember my login id and password.
Once logged in I see the little status box that says "You last visited: 7th April 2008"
....hmm...has it really been that long? I then started thinking of everything that has happened to me and I felt extremely accomplished and I wanted to share some thanks.

I came to college in August 2008 where I was the terrified little freshman who was still confused as ever. I attended classes, did most of my homework and joined the campus Queer Student Union. I went to a few meetings and decided not to go back because I was terrified someone would see me there. :icon_sad: I hang my head in shame for that......
I continued on my confused college life until October when I met a really nice guy. He put the moves on me, I took the moves and things moved forward. He was 21 while I was 18, which really freaked my out at the time. He continued with the moves, until finally he asked me if we could talk. I cautiously accepted. He explained to me that night that he never questioned his sexuality before and that he was confused as to why he felt the way he did. A great burden was lifted from my heart as I explained I felt the same way. Its been 6 months since then and I have to say that my life has never made this much sense before. He is as they say "the wind beneath my wings." This gentleman has supported me, given me direction and advice that no one else could. All the fears of college and all the life lessons I've learned so far he's been there to help me through. I could have never have hoped for this and I am grateful every day of my life that he is there.

I wanted to share this story with everyone to show that life isn't about making choices based on what sexual lifestyle you choose to live. Its about the love shared between two people. I cannot explain it much more than that without sounding like a fool, but I want those who are unsure to be brave and take a chance. There is only one way to fall in love, and that's to try it. Be open to possibilities. Don't be the one who sits and waits for prince/princess charming, take the leap of faith.

Thank you EC for helping me find the courage to take the leap.
