    I'm 24 and have been dating older gay since I was 19 and my parents just found out about me dating older men

    What happened when your parents found out you are dating "older" men? Was there a particular thing they said or did that indicates a lack of acceptance?

    Sometimes concerns come up about age differences due to different life stages, or power differentials in relationships. But how you deal with these issues is really up to you and not others.

    Unless you're still living with them and don't have another place to go, don't let their lack of acceptance bother you. The only friend I have left after coming out taught me that if I spent all of my time trying to be accepted by others then I'll never have the time to accept myself and be happy. So...
