How do we handle sports which are divided among girls or boys??

My Daughter let me know she wanted to be a boy but so far she wants to be referred to as her still, and wants to go by her given name, She wears boys clothes and hair, but is all girl, however she wants to get herself a packer, and I have serious concerns about how this is going to impact her when she does girls gymnastics next month as she plans to..

I think that as long as she is comfortable being in the girls sports, then she can stay there. That is a bridge that you may have to eventually cross, but is she is comfortable where she is now, I don't think that there is a reason to cross it now.
