So, over the past few days, I've been really sick, and have had terrible stomach pains and fatigue and confusion/headaches. The pains have moved to the lower right of my abdomen recently, and they have been getting sharper. As far as I know, these are all really typical of appendicitis, but I'm not sure if I should go to hospital, in case I'm wrong.
appendicitis is nothing to take slow. You need to see an emergency physician. The confusion is especially troubling Please go to the ER Foxface
And leave a message once you're OK and back in commission. There are a few of us parental types whose first instinct is to worry about our "kids", biological or otherwise. Take care.
MY uncle was in the hospital for a month or so because his appendix burst. Please go get it checked out.
You do need to have a physician check this out. If you can't see your family physician today then you do need to go to the ER.
Mate, you are in pain and that is why we have doctors. Doctors do not wish for you to be in pain, there are there to diagnose and treat you and their ultimate goal is to make you comfortable, that is there job so don't you ever make yourself feel like you are a burden on the medical system. It is there for you and you need help. Appenicitis is nothing to double guess. If you believe you have appendicitis GO TO HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY...if your appendix rupture they will turn septicaemic and you can die within hours. It will cost you nothing, but it will save your life
It's been a false alarm. It's a bad virus with pains that just happened to be near the appendix, though I have been told to watch out in case of chronic appendicitis, so I don't know. At any rate, I'm not allowed to exert myself.
I'm glad to hear that you're alright, and are not in immediate danger. You keep an eye on yourself, and take care. =)
Never second guess your symptoms, always go and see your GP or go to hospital. Your health is more important than anything else in your life I'm glad you are ok
Glad to hear you're okay. Sorry I didn't read this yesterday when it was important, but a general way to access if it's likely to be appendicitis, is to put pressure on the appendix, and if it hurts more when you lift the pressure off, than when you put it on, then it could be appendicitis, as that's called rebound tenderness and is very common with appendicitis. As mentioned above though, if you ever feel like you might have appendicitis, get it checked out IMMEDIATELY, if an appendix ruptures then you simply WILL die without treatment, as infection will spread to your abdominal area, to areas in your body where the body literally cant defend itself, and you'll get organ failure. Unfortunately, the mortality rates for ruptured appendixes are high, simply because all the doctors can do is give you extremely strong antibiotics, which don't always work for severe sepsis. For this reason, time is absolutely crucial for appendicitis. All the best.
You should most definitely go to the doctor as a ruptured appendix is a sever medical complication. Also for the time being try to not do too much strength or anything of the sort as this can increase the chances of your appendix rupturing.
