My left tooth that's in the back of my mouth hurts really bad and when I looked at in the mirror it looked like I had a huge cavity. But its weird because I brush, flosh, and use mouthwash on my teeth twice a day and I barely eat any sweets. But sometimes I do drink soda. I have my dental check up on Thursday. Should I wait for the dentist to notice my tooth at the appointment or ask my parents to make an earlier appointment for them to look at my teeth?

If it hurts, it needs attention as soon as possible as it may be an abscess and possibly an infection. Make an earlier appointment, pain of that sort should not be ignored.

I just asked my mom and she said I should wait to get it done-_- however, she gave me tylenol, does that work?

Tylenol's for pain (It's an analgesic)... Not for infections or inflammation or anything.

Only you know if you can tolerate the pain until your appointment. Some Orajel pain reliever may help. If you get swelling or bleeding then it's time to get an earlier appointment. A temperature is also a sign of infection.
