Recently I have been thinking of buying glasses. I have no vision problems, and initially I want to get them just for style. But then I was told that I could buy a pair to ease my eyes, as I spend a lot of time in front of screens, so that my purchase won't practically be a complete waste of money. Anyway, I have been to several shops and I have asked several specialists about what lenses I should buy, but each one of them has given me a different answer. So far, I have concluded to the following two, Hoya "Blue control" lenses and Gunnar eyewear. But none of the specialists can confirm which one is better, or whether there is something even better. Could someone tell me what to get?
I have no experience with "ease your eyes" glasses as I need real ones, but I have seen the ones specifically marketed to video game players in electronics stores. They apparently give better contrast and color ranges or something (they have yellowish lenses) and are cheap enough to give a try if you are curious.
To be honest, I would like to avoid those yellow lenses, unless they are the best there is. They are kind of funny to wear.
