Is there a product that can hide scars or can they go away normally I have scars from cutting myself and they are pretty ugly :I

And can anyone give me advice on this problem since cutting I always have the urge to get a knife and stab into my arm to the bone and pull down cutting the arm open I hate these urges they are just as bad as my suicidal thoughts should I bring it up with my therapist next time? :icon_sad:

Hey Kawaii Girl! Definitely bring up these issues with your therapist. It's good to hear that you have one. in the meantime, what helped me when I was going through self-harm issues, when I got the urge to cut, I would go for a walk (somewhere there aren't any knives), I would distract myself with yoga and meditation (there are many guided meditations on iTunes)or I would just try to sleep. These are all just my way of distracting my mind from focusing on cutting. Do what you need to do to distract yourself. As for scars, my doctor said vitamin e, but honestly I used it for a year and it only lightened the scars a bit. Hope that helps

Scars tend to fade with age, but rubbing Vitamin E on it may help

Most of mine have faded, though I did rub baby oil on them sometimes. That seemed to help (also helps stretch marks)

There are some scar-lightening creams/healing creams on the market, but I'm not sure how well they work.

  7. To help with the urges.
I've heard that flicking your wrist using a rubber band is a possible substitute for some.

The derma-roller. Shea butter and mix it with olive oil. Helps the scars.
