So at Christmas my parents had the annual "lets have a go at Ewan" and they complained that I come accross as really miserable and that they hardly ever see my smile. I just find it hard to be happy, and very hard to smile I have to force it. I just am not naturally happy and I find it hard to be positive.
The correct response (I think) to "you're making other people miserable" is "that's not my intent. I've been having trouble being happy recently, and I'm sorry if that ends up bringing you down as well. Trust me - I don't WANT to be miserable all the time." I'm not aware of any of your backstory. Have you gotten proactive at trying to feel better about things? Lex
Not that much to tell, just a guy who is incredibly hard on himself, scared of people's perceptions of me and self harms to cope.
