When you say it hurts, do you mean like sort of a raw feeling? That can happen if you really overdo it with masturbation (like a half dozen times a day or more would do that for many people.) But in any case, other than rubbing yourself a little raw, there's no real concern with masturbating too much.
TMI Alert...I got really stoned once when I was younger and masturbated for like two hours or something and my peen was VERY red and irritated. It hurt to walk.
