    I'm new to butt plugs.
    Do they work on females?
    Do they feel good?
    What should I look for?
How do I use them safely?
    What about anal beads?

I can only help you with the last 2.

    What should I look for?
Something that flares out at the end. So you might find some that look this sort of shape:

    <==--|

Which is usually good, because it means it's not going to go in you and get stuck there! I mean really, you don't want that to happen!

How do I use them safely?

Lot's of lube and be gentle putting it in!

Thanks again, though I'm not sure how it works on female parts...

Isn't the female ass the same as the male ass parts?

The male prostate gland is very sensitive and can be stimulated anally, which adds to the pleasure of stimulating the anus itself.

Really it depends on how much pleasure you can get from just the feeling of it being in there...some women find the actual in-out motion to be appealing where as others get nothing at all...honestly I'd try with your fingers first just to see if you've got anything going for you down there...

Well basically since you don't have a prostate, the fact that it's inside you is going to do less than it is for a guy or for me! You are relying on the actual hole to feel good...I mean just get some form of lubricant and just...you know...touch it for a bit and see how that goes. There's no point in spending money on something you won't enjoy and your fingers are free so you may as well experiment first!

Even though females don't have prostates, I have heard that anal penetration can stimulate the internal clitoris and bring pleasure that way.

Plus, sexual pleasure is a mental thing, not necessarily always a physical thing. Female bodied people are also not designed to get much pleasure from vaginal penetration either (If they were, it would hurt like a bitch to give birth), but plenty of women do it and enjoy it anyway. So women can enjoy anal penetration too for similar reasons. I think experimenting is worth a shot.

Don't mean to hijack the thread (yeah right, says the chick in the user title). But thread, IMO, makes an excellent case for the very open, free communication about sexual health and practices that the LGBTQ community is known for. If cis-het society weren't so damned terrified about permitting LGBTQ sexual education in mainstream society, we wouldn't have the sort of ignorance that's already threatening to derail this thread into a big ol' bag o' hurt feelings.

I tried a toy that had closely spaced beads mounted on a stiff, but slightly bendy, metal rod attached to a vibrator rather than widely spaced beads on a string. It didn’t really do much for me and was difficult to clean since the beads touched each other creating very tight space that I couldn’t get a disinfectant cloth into.

After a few uses the last bead in the chain furthest away from the vibrating base unit came lose whilst I was cleaning the device and exposed a very sharp, and rusty, metal bar that would have perforated my innards and possibly caused life threatening injury if the bead had come lose inside me. In my opinion beads of this type are very dangerous and should be avoided.

I can’t comment on the beads on a string type of toy other than to say I had heard that if you pull them all out of your ass at the moment of orgasm they can intensify the orgasm. My worry is what else they would pull out of your ass!

Experiment safely and look for any sharp edges on any toy you buy and think what you would do if it broke into bits inside of you. I can’t imagine any harm coming from a soft bendy but plug WITH A FLARED BASE covered with a condom to facilitate cleaning afterwords..

I'm led to believe it's fine not to on a couple of conditions:

    1. It goes in your BUTT and ONLY your BUTT.
    2. It goes in YOUR butt and ONLY YOUR butt.

Oh, and , you know, you clean it afterwards but that should be common sense!

There are many women who enjoy anal stimulation. Just make sure you use plenty of lube and take your time.
