    I have always been wondering if there are more active or passive homosexuals in the world. Some times I think that every gay is passive and he'd like to get fucked by a straight man, but then I have to convince myself that there are also some active homosexuals. I have never met one. I'm passive and I don't imagine an active homosexual.

    PS : Are you active or passive?

    Both. I honestly can't see why this matters. This would be whole point, that you both have the same stuff so you can get what you give... Honestly it wouldn't matter to me, I'd just be the opposite of the other guy and that's it.

    And no, I don't want to get fucked by a straight man, that's like a straight guy asking a lesbian to have sex with him, it's ridiculous.

    What do you mean by active and passive? Do you mean dominant and submissive? And what does this have to do with wanted to have sex with a straight man?

    By active/passive, I assume you mean top and bottom?

    I think there are a lot more gay men who are versatile actually, maybe with a preference.

    Certainly not the case that active gay men don't exist - it's my preference and I've been in relationships where I've exclusively been the 'active' partner.

    I think he means top and bottom. I've heard the terms active and passive for those before. I don't know where the straight man comes from, though.

    That being said, I think most gay guys are versatile.

    Those are bad terms then, because there are very active bottoms and very passive tops.

    I was taking it to mean more of the terms like submissive and dominant...but I could be wrong.

    Since he said "get fucked by a straight man" I guess he means top and/or bottom. Since, cis-male "I'm-doing-the-fucking" hetero norm.

    I dunno, if you mean being the "dominant" one (top-equivalent), that depends totally on the mood, straight relation or gay. Sometimes one wants to be taken care of, sometimes take care of.

    I assumed he meant top/bottom. In my experience most of the gay guys I have encountered are versatile but lean a bit one way or the other. Again in my experience, the leaning is about fifty/fifty--maybe slightly tilted towards top. I am versatile--but probably lean top.

    active = dominant
    passive = submissive
    PS : I don't speak English very well, that's why I use different terms with the same meaning.

    I think some people are mostly dominant and some others mostly submissive. Some are totally dominant and other totally submissive. Tey there are some people who define themselves as versatiles, but I am not one of them.

    I think I don't like fucking someone. I don't feel anything. Yes it's better than sex with a woman, but it doesn't make me feel such aroused as being fucked.

    Some people want to get fucked by straight men. That is strage, but surfing on gay tube I noticed that some ''dominant'' men are defined ''straight''. A man can be both straight and dominant in a homosexual relationship. I guess..

    May I ask, from where did you get this strange idea? Why would a gay man, want to have sex with a straight man? I only want to be with someone who is also into me, not with someone who would probably have aversion towards me. That would be quite yuk, actually...

    I think that some straight men like fucking gay males and treating them as slaves.

    However I may be wrong, and I'm definitely like you. I prefer to have sex with someone who is willing to do it and likes doing it.

    You're comparing two different things here, though. Dominance and submission are completely different things than versatility. Being versatile means you both like to top and bottom. Being dominant or submissive doesn't have to mean anything about your role in bed. You can be a dominant top, a dominant bottom, or dominant and versatile.

    And that's perfectly fine. I think most guys are versatile, and of those guys probably most of them lean more towards top. Not to mention there are quite a few 'exclusive tops' out there as well. Although I think that being in a relationship requires some compromising, usually sexually as well, it's also possible to find someone who's a complete top if that's what you want.

    A common fantasy of gay guys is to have sex with a straight guy, yes. That's just what it is, though: a fantasy, because no straight guy would willingly have sex with a guy. Well except if he got paid, I guess.
    The reason dominant men are sometimes described as 'straight' is because of the fantasy I just described. Some guys think the idea of a straight guy having sex with another guy is hot, therefore the videos want you to believe the guy in it is straight (which, 99% of the time, he's not). Since a stereotypical straight guy is masculine and dominant (and doing the fucking), that's why those dominant guys are perfect for the 'role' of straight guy. Makes sense?

    I get the impression that you've been trying to get information about "how to be gay" from porn or something. In that case, God help you...

    In my country, these two words are used instead of top or bottom, and honestly, I like the way English deals with this a hell of a lot more. It doesn't sound like another label to me if I say top, but "active" does. It's like you're expected to be a ruthless raping machine.

    I am a Dom and I am most certainly not straight. But wanting anal penetration/prostate stimulation doesn't make a man gay, either. What makes a man gay is whether he wants a man or woman to do it. There are straight men who enjoy being screwed with toys.
