I've had body aches, fatigue, bone pain in my shines and forearms for a little over a year now. I thought it was due to my iron deficiency but now im not too sure. Im one of those that self diagnose online and the one thing that always comes up is Leukemia. My doctor though my anemia was from my periods which have stopped since im on b.c. shots and I'm still having the same symptoms after my periods have stopped. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? I also have headaches.

I think the safest and most accurate way to find out is to ask a licensed Physician.

Yeah, I would go to your doctor tell them the symptoms that you are having. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health.

Return to the physician and tell him, nope those other things once treated did no improve the situation.

    How medicine works:

You go to doctor with a list of symptoms. Doctor uses his medical training to compare your symptom with known diseases that present such symptoms.

Where possible, test are done to confirm the doctor's suspicion. More likely than not (depending on the estimated most common condition) doctor will throw a treatment at you and wait and see if the treatment doesn't clear up.

Why this way? Its cheaper than testing every patient. It is a system which has actually worked well for most patients.

How many attempts? Unknown... I suspect that your list of symptoms will apply to many, many disorders and diseases. I don't know where you live, your other health issues... etc.

While the number of attempts to locate the real condition is an unknown, I do know that doctors tend to try 2 or three treatments for most common ailments, going down a list... If none of that suffices, then doctor will refer you to a specialist, or order up a hella number of tests... all of which cost someone something, all of which takes time.

You may be at the point where your physical may not have more common ailment type issues that match your symptoms and may refer you to a specialist, or start ordering all of those tests to see if he can narrow down what it is that ails you.

Since you do have anemia this just complicates your problem.

SOME of those symptoms you have might actually be caused by the anemia, or the BC shots... Or any other health issue you have and may be throwing off the diagnosis.

    Medicine is complicated...

Go back to that doctor and let him continue in his manner to help you.
