I wouldn't shave there.. I'd just trim as close as possible. Some areas have thicker hair and will cause more irritation to your skin.. But scrubbing and moisturising I guess can ease the bumps.

Have you tried using aloe vera gel as a shave "cream"?

I have to agree with RAdam,

This is an area I would probably trim and opposed to trying to shave completely.

The bumps etc that you've got will go, but to be honest the only solution is time, probably a few days. You could use kind of product (no idea what) to relieve the itchiness, but based on the location, you might choose not to.

I would try to use some type of topical cream or lotion in order to reduce that irritation. Like stated, it's a very thick area of hair, meaning that it's also very prone to irritation as such.

Yes I have done, the itching has reduced and will check in the morning to see if they have reduced..

Oh right thanks I didn't know that the thicker the hair the more prone to irritation..

Perhaps I should stop worrying about silly things haha

May I ask what does "trail" mean in English when it comes to the human body?

    Google doesn't help.

If I'm correct, it's the "happy trail" he's referring to, the little line (or patch) of hair between your belly button and crotch. If you have a male body, of course.

I was wondering on this topic, as well, to see if there were any better ways to what I've done. But it looks like what I've been doing is what people suggest.

It has nothing to do with what part of the body you're shaving; I shave my legs and I get those bumps every time. I hate it. I like having hairless legs :frowning2: (My leg hair isn't very coarse.) It's because of the razor you used and whether or not you used shaving gel or cream.

If Ryuichi is right, some female bodies get that too! I have that. I use Nads strips (or you can try waxing) and pluck whatever stray hairs don't come out with that. Then you just have to keep up with it by plucking them when they come in, unless you have so much hair that it's better to just wax again.

Waxing that area is much better than shaving anyway, because it makes your skin look smoother and takes longer for the hair to grow back.

They make some excellent creams and shave lotions for use on the " bikini line" if you have the cash. It's by the razors at the store- you might try that. It doesn't prevent the red bumps totally but it helps a lot. You use it during shaving. Just slather it on and shave it off. It helps to soften the hair prior to shaving too, so do your personal shaves during a steamy warm shower.
