I'm getting an IPL treatment on my entire body (Almost) next week and I was wondering about your results/experiences/tips about it. Thankss
I've had laser hair removal on my legs and it worked a treat. It can get pretty hot and sting in certain places, but I found that chatting to the woman doing it helped distract me and made it pass quicker. Top tip: don't shower after its been done, it makes you sting!
I'm in the middle of treatments on my upper chest area. It's not bad. Just make sure to ice it for like 15 minutes beforehand otherwise it stings like a mofo
The hair has to be quite dark, right? I've been thinking about it but I'm not sure it will work for me. How many sessions will you have to do?
Does that mean you have to go more than once to get everything removed or does that mean laser hair removal is not permanent? D:
I was under the impression you have to go multiple time for a specific area but it will be permanent. Right, Booby?
You might think about a home device. There are customer opinions on the respective devices available. Many are content. If you do this, you might inquire with the manufacturer for a special medical grade gel which helps reduce pain and increase performance, studios often use that, too. And use protective googles, Laser hair removal is not completely rated permanent... you usually need a few treatments, and there might be some parts left which some people clear up with electrolysis. If you have a home device you just might treat those areas again.
I finally have a bit of spare cash to try and deal with my accursed facial hair, so this thread is perfect. I remember reading in a thread a while back that you really want to be going somewhere that uses a specific kind a laser (apparently it works better on masculine-type facial hair than others), but I can't remember the name for it so I haven't looked in my area...is that the IPL laser? Or is there another one that works better?
