How do I get hormones?

    I want to start hrt so badly....but I don't know where to start. Do I just like go see a doctor or something? does it cost? do I need medicare? Do I have to wait? I live about 1 hour away from Sydney btw..

    See your Doctor for referral. Medicare would probably be good, otherwise you will have to pay a fee. Are you an Australian Citizen?

    You will need to get a pharmacy prescription for injections, patches etc. While, I'm not completely familiar with the process, I assume you will need to see a specialist before begining treatment. I work at pharmacy and I know we stock/ possibly make treatment (compounding pharmacy). Medications can be quite pricey and I am not sure if they are subsidised by medicare but it doesnt hurt to inquire.

    First step is to see a doctor who will give you further instructions.
