Since i was about 12/13 ive been showing some weird signs i think might be intersex and degrees of gender dysphoria (mainly indirect, some direct) since about 9/10. Im worried about it but i dont want to go see a doctor if its.likely that theres nothing there. Please could i get some second opinions??

My family have a history of hormone and sex related illnesses that are mainly genetic. My mother doesnt produce any oestrogen and also had some degrees of gender dysphoria in her youth. she got pregnant (hence me) from taking unessicary birth conyrol that by chance elevated her oestrogen just enough to get pregnant. Shes also mentioned i had a lot of trouble during her early pregnancy. im a triplet (identical twins/ me and my sister and an inidentical child of the opposite assigned gender that died early on in pregnancy).

That aside, the actual symtoms that have stirred my suspicion are: Although i hit puberty early, my development has slowed down a lot. My chest isnt fully developed to other kids my age, and i know some people would say that is normal but it is to a noticable and outstanding degree (full development of chest, little development of one particular feature on the left side ((god.this is embarassing))), i am very tall for my age and assigned sex. I also have noticed and others have noticed i dont get emotional or teary mood swings. I have a very andrgynous/genderneutral appearence, increased facial hair, 'treasure' trail or also known as snail trail that goes all the way above my belly button and heavy eyebrows. I find it really embarassing to talk about but not going into too much detail i can say whats down south isnt normal, but not the typical appearences that intersex people usually show. I have periods, but they are really painful exactly two days before eachone, the sort of pain that isnt an ache. nor stabbing and it is very low down, while when my actual periods are completely painless. This along with my stange appearence down there has lead me to suspicions of testes. (its not something that subtle)

Sorry for the long post, this is a really hard thing for me to dsscuss with people so sorry if itsclear. thank you fo genuine replies

You and your sister are identical? Or am I reading that wrong? If you are, does she have similar issues as well?

If this is worrying you I wonder if a hormone specialist would help with some of these questions?

You would have to be referred to an endocrinologist by your doctor I guess

Also ... if you are mid puberty I guess everything has a bit more to go before things are fully settled?

If it is a hormone issue there may be supplements that could help

thanks! Yeah we are identical and i have noticed dymtoms on her, however its not.something we would discuss, so i dont know for sure to what extent. The symtoms have accumilated over puberty, i hope it will settle, however i am worried it is getting mire progressive in symtoms. thanks for your advise!

When you see your doctor, ask them to check for polycystic ovaries. Some of what you said lines up with the condition.

Whether an intersex condition or hormonal condition the only way you can know is to pursue medical investigation. Given your symptoms and family history they should be willing to look into it. Hormone tests, pelvic exam, or an ultrasound scan may be helpful. I know it may be embarrassing to address it but the sooner any condition can be identified the better. This is especially the case if you suspect undescended/underdeveloped testes as you seem to be describing, because these can have a higher cancer risk in later life if not discovered.

    Best of luck

I would go to a doctor and tell them what is going on. They are the only ones that will be able to tell you anything for sure.
